What is the difference between Free Tools and AI Tools?
Free Tools work with existing subtitle or text files in your browser. AI Tools recognize speech in supported audio or video using cloud processing. Choose the workflow that matches the file you have.
Which audio and video files can I use?
Video tools accept MP4 with H.264 video and AAC-LC audio, up to 30 minutes / 500 MiB. Audio tools accept PCM WAV up to 15 minutes / 50 MiB, or AAC-LC M4A up to 60 minutes / 100 MiB. MP3 and video URLs are not supported. Each tool page explains the supported profiles.
How do AI Credits work?
Upload a supported file for inspection, review its AI Credit quote, then confirm transcription. Confirmation reserves the quoted Credits before processing starts. Eligible new Free accounts automatically receive 5 Welcome Credits after registration and email verification, valid for 7 days from issuance. Uploading does not start or extend that period.
Are annual plan Credits issued monthly?
Yes. Annual billing pays for the subscription year; the AI Credit allowance is still issued monthly. Unused monthly allowance does not roll over.
Can I buy additional Credits?
Active Pro and Max subscribers can buy additional Credit Packs. Purchased Credits are valid for 365 days and carry across months; an active paid subscription is required to use them.
Do my files stay in the browser?
Files used by the free subtitle tools stay in your browser. AI media is uploaded privately and processed by ElevenLabs. Application source files are kept for up to 4 hours, with earlier cleanup after processing; results are available for 24 hours after completion. Provider retention follows ElevenLabs’ own rules.
